Terms of Use

Last updated 2 August 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and the developer of Saymory ("we", "us") covering your use of the Saymory iPhone app. By using the app you accept them. If you do not, please stop using the app and delete it.

1. What Saymory is

Saymory records and transcribes what you say, writes summaries and action items from your notes, and answers questions about your own captured material. Some of this happens on your iPhone and some through cloud services, as described in our Privacy Policy.

2. Your account

You can use Saymory without an account for capture and on-device transcription. Cloud features require one. You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure, and for the activity that happens under it. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and at least 13.

3. Your content is yours

You keep all rights to your recordings, notes, and everything derived from them. You grant us only the limited permission needed to run the service for you — to store, transmit, and process your content so the app can produce your transcripts, summaries, and answers. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not sell it. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account.

4. Recording other people

Laws about recording conversations differ by country and by state, and many require the consent of everyone involved. You are responsible for complying with the law where you are. Saymory shows a consent reminder before conversation recordings, but that reminder is not legal advice and does not transfer this responsibility to us. Do not use Saymory to record anyone unlawfully.

5. Subscriptions and billing

  • Saymory Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the Apple App Store, offered monthly or annually.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending.
  • Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings at any time. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not retroactively refund the current period.
  • Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy, and may change over time. Any change applies to future billing periods, never retroactively.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us, under the App Store terms of sale.
  • If your subscription ends, your existing notes remain in the app and can still be exported. Pro-only features stop.

6. Fair use of Pro

Pro includes a monthly allowance of conversation processing with speaker detection, shown in the app. It exists because that processing has a real per-minute cost. We may contact you before limiting an account that is far outside normal personal use.

7. What the AI can and cannot do

Transcription and summaries are produced by automated systems and will sometimes be wrong — a name misheard, a figure mistyped, a nuance lost. Saymory always keeps the original transcript so you can check, and answers link back to the moment in your recording.

Do not rely on Saymory's output as the sole record for anything consequential — legal, medical, financial, or contractual. Verify anything that matters against the source. The service is provided for personal productivity, not as professional advice of any kind.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Saymory to record people unlawfully, or to process content you have no right to.
  • Upload material that is illegal, or that infringes someone else's rights.
  • Attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or circumvent limits of the service.
  • Resell or redistribute the service, or use it to build a competing product.

9. Availability

We work to keep Saymory running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Features may change, and cloud features depend on third-party providers. If we discontinue the service, we will give reasonable notice and you will be able to export your data first.

10. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Saymory at any time and delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms, or where required by law — normally with notice, unless the breach makes that inappropriate.

11. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, Saymory is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits rights you have that cannot legally be limited — consumer rights in your country remain unaffected.

12. Apple

Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support for Saymory. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in the app or by updating the date above before they take effect. Continuing to use Saymory after that means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Bangladesh have jurisdiction — except where the law of your own country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings there.
